Meredith W. Manak

Meredith Manak is no stranger to the complex and nuanced world of medical records retrieval. She’s been in the business for 35 years. It wasn’t until 2018 that it became personal.
It was in 2018 that her daughter suffered a traumatic brain injury and needed a team of doctors to get the comprehensive treatment and care necessary to get well. Meredith chose a hospital system that was using one EHR system—assuming that would simplify the record exchange and make sure each doctor on her daughter’s care team was up to date on her care.
That assumption was wrong.
One day, her daughter had to be admitted to the ER for blood clots. Her hematologist—an important member of her 12-person care team was in the same building, yet wasn’t notified about the incident electronically for 2 weeks.
Meredith didn’t wait for that. She walked to hematology to let the doctor know what was happening. Naturally, even the doctor was shocked! For a parent, those kinds of experiences are terrifying. As an expert in medical records retrieval, Meredith thought “not on my watch,” and decided to take matters into her own hands.
The idea behind HOPPR was born.
HOPPR locates all records of an individual using their name, date of birth, and address NO MATTER where that data exists. The end product is one consolidated record that can be organized into different categories.
